THE PROCESS
THE PROCESS
Sandblasting is a completely manual process where a film stencil is created from the artwork and placed on the surface of the glass (as oppose to laser engraving which chips away at the glasses surface).
It is then placed in a sandblasting cabinet and hand sprayed with fine sand (aluminium oxide) which takes away the surface of the glass.
Using the sandblasting technique rather than laser engraving means that:
We can get greater depth in the engraving.
We can get more detail in the engraving, such as fine lines.
Personalisation is exceptionally sharp, crisp and bright engraving with a smooth finish.
